In the Blink of an Eye

In the blink of and eye,

The Universe is born and dies,

It all takes place in this minute space,

The squabbles of the human race,

Great civilisations rise and fall,

Knowledge acumulated,

Great structures risen tall,

and then we forget it all?

How can this be,

My paranoia tells me,

There is something more,

beyond the dark,

Void.

Will it begin again the same,

or different everytime?

Thought Paper

Distraction

I was trying to write a poem on a theme thats been in my head for a while on the bus when a guy came and sat down next to me. I know what a total bastard right? I had all this room and was having such a great day, then this guy just ruins it by planting himself down do firmly I can hardly move my arms. So anyway this put me off completely and as he was staring at what I was writing I just turned the page over and started to draw a distorted version of him. Halfway through drawing this ( he was eyeballing me the whole time) I freaked out and started to back track, any normal person would have turned the page over. Instead I thought the best way to cover up the fact I was drawing this guy would be to draw a stick man and have a cord going to the mans head as if it was a ballon. I know this doesn’t make sense, but I paniced and this seemed like the best solution at the time.

Space Plague

Not much I can say about this one, Except when I started out drawing I didn’t have space plague OR farm yokel, in my mind at all.

The First Of Many

This has been in my head for a while, this kind of represents being on the cusp of so many ideas and because there are so many waiting to get out they created a bottleneck into my mind, which I think (or would like to think rather than sheer laziness) is the source of my procrastiation.

So when I put pencil to paper that is what screamed out onto the page( 9B Pencil to be precise, although I have no idea what that means, there are another 10 pencils in the case looking at me saying ‘you don’t know what were about, do you you retard, if you knew stuff you’d know that we were all for some different kind of drawing you fool’ thats right they talk and they are kind of horrid it appears).

I would also like to think the teeth represent some kind of urban cityscape, so i guess this sketch is one for further development, maybe on that theme.

Sketchbook/MyNightmares

Ok so the idea with this blog when I first started it was to be a place to put my thoughts and mainly poetry and keep it a secret. The main reason I guess for this was feeling very open and exposed putting such material where anyone could find it and also I am really busy and didn’t want to start a blog that just remains dead (Which turns out I was right). After using twitter for over a year now and becoming quite addicted I have become more accustomed to putting my thoughts online, I think I now need a place to empty my head where the limitation is not 14o characters.

So here it is, and this is the first page of my Sketchbook, The idea behind this blog is that everytime I draw or scribble a page in my sketchbook I will load it up here. There maybe other ramblings as I go along but I feel that this will help me update more regularily. Once I have filled my small sketchbook then I will choose some sketches and ideas to develop further ( in a larger book I have) and then eventually choose one design to commit to canvas ( my plethora of art supplies including inspirational book bought for christmas by @ joodle has also given me a kick up the ass to start this off).

So there it is, and you must excuse my english, I spent ALL of my school days daydreaming of time travel so what I have gleaned together in the english department is mainly made up, so if sentences wind on for years without a break or comma in sight and I miss it I apologise profusely now.

Your tired wasteful watching brow,

sapping time from whence it was,

reclaiming it for your dark ends,

I will chase you to the ends of the earth,

to keep my mind at full worth.

and there I will come to rest,

Content that my life I lived to the best..

See me fail,

bring nothing new,

a life to no avail.

you live within the blinking beat,

of universe’s extraordinary feat,

yet understand not, comprend pas,

your enormous faux pas,

I’ll find a way to show myself,

through time or space nothing I’ll waste,

the truth will out,

greed will dissolve and fear evaporate,

one day.
